Add yards. Subtract pain. Play forever.

Your swing can only be as good as your body allows. Our Titleist Performance Institute–certified therapists find the physical limits in your swing — then remove them.

The TPI approach: screen the body, decode the swing

The Titleist Performance Institute screen is the gold standard used on every professional tour: a head-to-toe movement assessment that connects what your body can’t do to what your ball flight keeps doing. Losing posture? Early extension? Coming over the top? Each has a short list of physical causes — hip rotation, thoracic mobility, core stability — and the screen finds yours.

Dr. Nathan Rourke, co-owner of The Therapy Institute, is TPI certified and SuperSpeed Golf certified, and golfs the way our patients do: year-round in his head, April to October in Michigan.

What your program includes

  • TPI movement screen — a full-body assessment mapped against your swing characteristics
  • Individualized golf fitness plan — mobility, stability, and strength work targeted to your screen results
  • SuperSpeed overspeed training — the proven protocol for adding clubhead speed, properly dosed and supervised
  • Pain solutions built in — because a doctor of physical therapy is running the program, that nagging back or elbow gets treated inside the same plan

Golfers come to the Lab from courses all over the area — Haslett, East Lansing, Okemos, DeWitt, Bath, and Williamston — most within a 15-minute drive of the first tee they play weekly.

Distance is a fitness stat

The average amateur leaves 15–30 yards on the table for physical reasons, not technical ones. Rotation you don’t have, ground force you can’t produce, and speed your body won’t allow — no swing tip can fix those. A winter in the Performance Lab can.

After injury: from rehab tee to first tee

Coming back from back surgery, a joint replacement, or golfer’s elbow? Start with insurance-covered physical therapy, then transition seamlessly into golf-specific training with the therapist who rehabbed you. Same building. Same team. Better drives.
